The “Mandú” is a traditional character from the Carnival of the Recôncavo Baiano region. The figure consists of a voluminous garment and a theatrical headpiece supported by a long broomstick, creating a visually distorted body that is simultaneously comical, gigantic, and mysterious.

The Mandú Lamp captures this poetic distortion. Its tall stem evokes the elongated structure of the Carnival costume, yet contrary to expectation the light source is not at the top. It has been intentionally lowered to a height of 1.10 meters. This choice brings the light closer to the seated person's field of vision, creating a more welcoming glow designed for reading, listening, and contemplation. The frosted light sphere, measuring 10 cm in diameter, appears to float. Crafted from powder-coated tubular steel, the piece is available with a matte black or sand-colored iron frame, or a brass or copper structure, paired with bases in either Piguês marble or Roman Travertine.
